Getting started

A clear introduction to Serene Nola and whole-person wellness care.

What is Serene Nola?

Serene Nola is a holistic wellness practice supporting greater balance, relaxation, self-awareness, and well-being through Holistic Nurse Coaching, Reiki, Acupressure, Herbal Wellness, Maternal Health Support, and restorative experiences.

What does “Healing Through Holistic Wellness” mean?

It reflects a whole-person approach that considers physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and lifestyle factors while creating space for restoration, education, empowerment, and intentional self-care.

Do I need a health concern to use these services?

No. Many clients come for stress support, relaxation, preventive wellness education, personal growth, or simply to become more intentional about caring for themselves.

Are Serene Nola services a replacement for medical care?

No. These services complement, but do not replace, care from physicians and other qualified healthcare professionals. Never discontinue medication or treatment without consulting the professional responsible for your care.

How do I know which service is right for me?

If you are unsure, a Holistic Nurse Coaching consultation is a helpful starting point. We can discuss your goals and identify services that may complement your wellness plan.

Your first appointment

What to expect before you arrive and how your information is used.

What happens before my first appointment?

New clients complete a private wellness intake covering goals, relevant health history, medications and supplements, allergies, and service-specific considerations. Medical clearance may be recommended when appropriate.

How should I prepare?

Wear comfortable clothing, stay appropriately hydrated, complete intake paperwork, and bring an updated medication and supplement list when applicable.

Are virtual appointments available?

Holistic Nurse Coaching and Maternal Health Support may be available virtually. Virtual Reiki is also available. Hands-on Acupressure requires an in-person appointment.

Do you accept health insurance?

Services are generally self-pay unless stated otherwise. Confirm any potential coverage directly with your insurance carrier.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes. Serene Nola wellness experiences can be given for birthdays, holidays, milestones, or simply as an invitation to prioritize rest and wellness.

Services and safety

Important boundaries for complementary and wellness-centered care.

Is Acupressure the same as Acupuncture?

No. Acupressure uses hand or finger pressure and does not involve needles. Acupuncture uses thin needles and requires appropriate professional licensure.

Can Reiki treat medical conditions?

No. Reiki is offered as a complementary practice for relaxation and well-being and should not replace medical or mental-health care.

Are herbs safe because they are natural?

Not necessarily. Herbs can cause side effects or interact with medications, supplements, health conditions, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and medical procedures. Careful screening matters.

Can Herbal Wellness products treat or cure a condition?

No. Herbal products are intended to support general wellness and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

Does Maternal Health Support replace my OB-GYN or midwife?

No. The service helps you prepare questions, understand information, communicate concerns, and navigate resources while your licensed maternity-care team provides clinical care.

Memberships

Ongoing support for making wellness part of your regular rhythm.

Does Serene Nola offer memberships?

Yes. Three wellness memberships combine ongoing support, selected services, preferred scheduling, savings, and members-only experiences.

Why choose a membership?

Wellness is often built through consistency. Memberships make it easier to maintain supportive practices and receive ongoing guidance.

Can I still book an individual service?

Yes. Membership is optional. Every individual service remains available à la carte.

Can I change membership levels?

Ask about current membership-change terms before enrolling. Availability and scheduling are based on the selected plan and current appointment capacity.

Maternal health support

Education and advocacy across pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.

How can Serene Nola support me during pregnancy?

Support may include preparing questions, organizing concerns, understanding information from your care team, identifying resources, and communicating your preferences.

Can my partner participate?

Yes. Partners and support people are welcome to participate when appropriate and desired.

Is postpartum support available?

Yes. Support may include postpartum wellness education, appointment preparation, lactation-resource navigation, community resources, and communication support.

Scheduling and policies

Practical details for changing an appointment and respecting reserved time.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee under the Serene Nola Cancellation and Appointment Policy.

What happens if I arrive late?

Your session may need to be shortened to protect the next client's appointment. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled.

What if Serene Nola needs to reschedule?

You will not be charged, and every reasonable effort will be made to offer an alternative appointment time.
